Should Prime Minister Netanyahu remain in office? Do you agree with his policies? Like him or not, Benjamin Netanyahu has always been an extremely gifted orator. And his Yom Ha’atzma’ut address to the nation was simply perfect.
Each year, as part of the Torch Lighting Ceremony on Yom Ha’atzma’ut eve, the Prime Minster of Israel addresses the nation. He’ll often point out the country’s achievements over the past year, identifying things for which the country is most proud.
And, on the eve of Israel’s 73 birthday, Israel has much to boast about.
Here’s all that matters. For all intents and purposes, Coronavirus has been virtually obliterated in Israel. It’s just not a thing anymore. Why? Because Israel was the first country in the world to vaccinate a large percentage of its citizens. And therefore, Israel is the first country in the world to emerge from the crisis.
And for the most part, Israel handled itself fairly admirably throughout the pandemic, protecting its citizens while maintaining its security and economy throughout.
But the Prime Minister says it much better than we could. Watch his inspiring message to the nation, with English subtitles for your convenience.
