Is there something in the water in Israel? A disproportionate number of Israeli musical celebrities have announced pregnancies and births over the past week.
Who’s expecting?
Eden Ben Zaken. The superstar “Queen of Roses”, who got married in May 2018, announced her pregnancy on Instagram on October 22nd. Her caption? “Finally I can tell.”
Interestingly, just a couple of days later, Eden released this cute video announcing a major concert in February at Heichal Menorah in Tel Aviv. If my calculations are correct, she should be VERY pregnant by then.
Sarit Hadad. The mizrachi princess also took to Instagram to tell the world that she’s expecting her second child. She wrote, “thanks for all that has been, and for what, with God’s help, will come soon.” Sarit’s daughter Noya turned 2 in September.
Who gave birth?
Marina Maximillian. The popular singer and husband Guy Mentesh welcomed their second daughter on October 20. The world got its first glimpse of the new arrival on (where else?) Instagram. Marina clearly loved the experience of giving birth, which she called an “animalistic, spiritual, exhausting, and exasperating experience.”
Marina recently joined the cast of “Fauda”, whose third season is already wrapped up and is set to debut in November.
Ivri Lider. The superstar singer/songwriter recently returned to Israel after three weeks in the United States. His son Albi was born via a surrogate mother, and after a few weeks in Alabama, Daddy and baby are now safe at home.
MAZAL TOV to Marina and Ivri on their new arrivals, and we wish all the best to Eden and Sarit on their pregnancies!
