Meet Noam Dadon, the 13-year-old from Yerucham who was just selected to represent Israel in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Noam won the “Kdam Eurovision Junior” which took place last night, with judges Yardena Arazi, Chanan Ben-Ari and Lior Narkis.
Noam previously competed in the third season of the reality show “Beit Sefer L’musica” (Music School), a reality singing contest for kids, where he came in second place. You can watch his audition here. Last night, he wowed the judges with his rendition of the song “Mechake”, written by Idan Raichel and originally recorded by Rita.
The Jerusalem Post reports that Dadon received a special message from “senior” Eurovision winner Netta Barzilay after his victory:
“I’m so happy that you won the chance to represent us at Eurovision Junior this year,” Barzilai said. “Remember that at the end of the day it’s the thing you love doing most, and the most pure thing you can do in the world – just making other people happy.”
