New From The Shalva Band: “I Know That I Am Blessed”

“The hardest part is to stop
To look and then to remember
To say thank you for having a place to return to
When the next day opens
Surrenders to the soft light
I know I’m blessed…”

Leave it to The Shalva Band to lift our spirits during difficult times. This morning (November 12), the inspirational team of musicians with disabilities released their latest “Mevorach” (Blessed). It’s a song that reminds us of the importance of gratitude, especially in dark times.

From the band:

“The last period has not been easy. We are swimming in an ocean of uncertainty and worries. In all this complexity – and perhaps precisely because of it – it is important that we remember what we are blessed with: family, friends, warmth and love. The song “I am blessed” was written to remind people, even in this confusing time, that it is sometimes important to stop and give thanks for all the good that remains.”

The world first experienced the magic of Shalva in late 2018. That’s when they stole the hearts of nearly every Israeli while competing to represent Israel in Eurovision 2019. While they were forced to withdraw from the competition, they’ve since become a household name.

Their emotional performance at the Eurovision made them the darlings of the world, and they’ve released several powerful singles ever since.
