As the hottest singers in Israel for the past couple of years, a new song from Static and Ben-El Tavori is always kind of a big deal.

Today, the boys released their latest, “Bananot” (Bananas).

This new track continues their successful formula of borrowing themes from around the world. They’ve covered Greece (“Yasu”), they’ve been to Japan (“Kawaii”), they’ve been to India (“Namaste”) and they’ve been to Portugal (“Tudu Bom”).

And Now? Africa. The costumes, musical styles, dancers and vocals all resemble something you might see in “The Lion King”.

Their songs are often an acquired taste: not so impressive at first listen…but after you hear it a couple of times, you’re hooked. Agree?
