Whether or not you’re a fan of Netta Barzilai‘s musical style, one thing’s for sure. It is a joy to watch her work her musical magic on stage.
She’s already an Israeli hero after winning the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest for Israel (see video at right). Her name – and her music – are known around the world, and she’s even hit the top of the charts in the USA (“Bassa Sababa” reached #3 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart).
But despite the fame and fortune, it’s clear that Netta, 26, still LOVES making music.
She recently uploaded a clip to her YouTube channel, entitled “Netta’s Office”, as a way to communicate directly with her fans.
“I just want a free channel with my audience,” Netta says in the video, “like something really really direct.
“Lately it’s been, like really, really hard to release new music because of a lot of obstacles. And this is way much easier, and free.”
Netta then spends the next seven minutes creating music from scratch, using only her voice and some computer manipulation. It’s a treat. Her love of music is infectious, and the way her mind works is simply incredible.
Netta’s music not your cup of tea? Doesn’t matter. Just watch what she can do, and appreciate her mastery over her craft.
