One of our favorites, Miri Mesika, is out with a brand new album. And to help get the word out, she’s got a new single, too.
“Marak Tzach” (Fresh Soup) puts the finishing touch on “Ocean”, a compilation of the many songs Miri’s released over the past couple of years.
There’s “Mefached Alayich” (Scared of You), a high-energy collaboration with rapper EZ. “Chava” is Miri’s unique take on the Biblical Adam and Eve story. (BTW, you MUST also hear her sing it with Or Amrami Brockman.) Speaking of the Bible, Miri joins Narkis for a soulful spin on the tale of “Moshe”.
You’ll also hear “Yesh Lach Otach” (You Have Yourself”), Miri’s duet with 13-year-old protégé Mika Moshe. In the ballad “Kama Kama”, Miri encourages all who are struggling to come to her for a bit of support and sympathy. Finally, on “B’Kerem Teiman”, Miri channels her inner Ofra Haza, with a song featured on the 2018 all-star tribute to Ofra.
If you’re a Miri Mesika fan, you’ll have a good time previewing the new album below. What do you think of Miri Mesika’s latest compilation?
