Ladies and gentlemen, here it is: “Home” by Kobi Marimi.
After waiting for what feels like an eternity, Israel finally released its official song entry to Eurovision 2019. It is a powerful ballad, 360 degrees from 2018’s entry, “Toy”.
Less than two hours since its official release, the YouTube video has been seen more than 90,000 times and has generated more than 1,500 comments – and most of them have been very positive.
As for me, I started out NOT loving the song…but by the end, I had goosebumps. While I have no idea how well the song will appeal to Eurovision voters, I feel that Kobi Marimi has a very strong voice, and can evoke emotion not seen since “Milim” by Harel Ska’at in 2010.
But enough about me. What do you think of the song? Let us know, and we may read your comment on the next episode of Israel Hour Radio.
