Eurovision fever is heating up! After last year’s cancelled event, excitement is mounting for Eurovision 2021 – the contest’s triumphant return. And in Israel, organizers aren’t wasting any time in getting ready for Eden Alene to take home the gold.

On January 25, we’ll know which song Eden will sing for Israel as part of Eurovision 2021. Until then, you have a chance to make your voice heard and vote for your favorite.

Have you heard the final three?

On January 3, Israel released a one-minute “Carpool Karaoke” teaser, with Eden singing 20 seconds of each song while riding in the car with Israeli Eurovision host Lucy Ayoub.

But according to Eurovision news site Wiwibloggs, that video didn’t sit well with some in Israel:

Israeli Eurovision site EuroMix claimed that some of the songwriters were unhappy with that carpool video, as Eden appeared to show a clear favourite — “La La Love” — and even forgot some of the lyrics for “Ue La La”. Whoops!

So the very next day, Israel released the full studio versions of each of the three finalists: “La La Love”, “Set Me Free”, and “Ue La La”. Which one is your favorite?

1. Eden Alene – La La Love

From what I’ve been hearing, this is the favorite for now. But anything can happen before the voting deadline of January 25.

2. Eden Alene – Set Me Free

With a little Hebrew thrown in here and there, this fun song has, apparently, been significantly reworked in the past few weeks.

3. Eden Alene – Ue La La

If you’re looking for Israel’s Eurovision entry to be more multi-cultural, you’ve found your winner. English, French, and Hebrew combine (sometimes in slightly odd ways) to create this international crowd-pleaser.

So, what happens now?

  • On Tuesday, January 19, voting will begin via the Kan app. On that same day, Kan will release music videos for each song.
  • Voting will take place for six days, until Monday, January 25.
  • On January 25 at 9:15 pm Israel time (2:15 pm Eastern), Kan will broadcast “HaShir Haba L’erevision”, in which Israel’s official song for Eurovision 2021 will be revealed.

In the meantime, let’s take our own informal MyIsraeliMusic.com poll. Which song is your favorite?
