This morning (January 7), Shlomo Artzi released a new single, “Kol Mah SheTirtzeh” (Everything You Want). It’s his first new song in almost a year. (His last single was a duet with Mosh Ben Ari released in March 2019, “Mashehu Chayav Likrot”).

Still sounding superb at 70, “Shlomo HaMelech” (King Shlomo) continues to produce quality music with meaningful lyrics. This time, however the lyrics and music were written by his son Yonatan, whose voice is also heard in the song.

It’s a beautiful song of optimism. Shlomo and Yonatan sing a long list of life’s “little things” that make us smile, with a message that “everything you want is within your reach”.

It’s a simple song with heartwarming lyrics and a universal message. Expect to hear it a lot on the radio in Israel in the weeks ahead.
