The reality of the past 12 months has remained far beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. Today, however, Israeli singer Kobi Aflalo is ready to document it.

His new song “Ad SheYavo” (Until It Comes) is, in his words, a “jigsaw puzzle” of our year under the Coronavirus pandemic in special photos and videos.

Kobi explained on Facebook that the song’s concept was born from his daughter, Ariel.

“My daughter asked me at the beginning of the Corona period, ‘Dad, how much longer?'” Kobi writes. “So I recorded her asking it before each stanza [of the song].”

The song’s press release goes on to explain:

“The single comes with a special clip that combines over 100 still images and videos sent by 30 photographers from all over the country – landscapes, people, exciting, sad and happy moments, photos who manage to illustrate Kobi’s words for a beautiful clip that is an authentic Israeli mosaic from the eyes of the talented photographers.”
