Eden Ben Zaken’s new single responds to the “surveillance video” incident
Eden Ben Zaken released a new single this week, her musical response to last year’s incident in which nude surveillance videos of the singer were leaked online. Eden sings about what it’s like to be a woman in the music biz in her new song, “Chetzi Medina”.
Being a celebrity isn’t all is cracked up to be, Eden Ben Zaken tells us, and she has a point! In today’s world of social media, singers need to produce much more than just good music, they need to livestream their entire lives. And if you’re a woman in music, the public expects you to look your best at every step. What do you think? Do we hold female singers to a higher standard? Share your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.
Roni Dalumi opens up about her parents’ divorce
Roni Dalumi released a new single of her own last week, dealing with another very personal struggle: the separation of her parents two years ago. Roni sings of her childhood, a simpler time in her life. This is called “Hayiti Shara”.
Roni’s married now, and starting her own new life. But, she says, she doesn’t want to forget her childhood home… how it looked, the happy memories, and most of all, the warm feelings that come to mind whenever she thinks of singing to her parents.
Noa Kirel’s big 18th birthday bash
It may be hard to believe from looking at her, but Noa Kirel is still a teenager. But, don’t call her a kid anymore. The singer, model and judge on “Israel’s Got Talent” celebrated her 18th birthday on April 10th – and her big birthday bash was the hottest ticket in town. Hundreds of friends, and celebrities, of course, descended upon the Metropolitan hall in Tel Aviv on Wednesday night to celebrate with the – now legal – Noa Kirel. Liron Entertainment news caught up with the birthday girl at the party.
Of course, the talk of the evening was Noa’s relationship with Mergui – a new voice in Israeli music who has taken the industry by storm with his hit, “Hazug Hazeh”. The two looked very comfortable together posing for pictures at the big birthday bash. Mazal tov to Noa Kirel…we’re fairly sure we’ve only just begun to watch your career grow and flourish.
