Israeli Music Today: Transcript
March 29, 2019: Today in Israeli Music, we take a look at the many great new songs released this week in Israel. This is MyIsraeliMusic.com, I’m Josh Shron, and here’s your Israeli music news for Friday, March 29, 2019.
It’s been another good week for new releases in Israeli music. Here are a few of my favorites. Of course we’ll feature all of these songs, in their entirety, this week on Israel Hour Radio.
Sarit Hadad & Ofer Nissim – Shufuni
First up this week is a brand new collaboration between Sarit Hadad and producer Ofer Nissim, who have worked together a number of times in the past. This song is called “Shufuni” which, as far as I can tell, refers to a popular adult web site. Someone’s gonna need to fill me in on this one…in the meantime, enjoy a sample.
Natan Goshen – Mitga’a’ga’at
Natan Goshen will be here in the States beginning this Sunday in New York, but before he left Israel, he released this new song, Mitga’aga’at, which, by the way, is a lot easier to spell in Hebrew than in English.
Mooki and Maor Edri – Kotev Shirim
We told you about this the other day. My favorite new song of the week? Mooki and Maor Edri, “Kotev Shirim”.
Yishai Levi & Shir Levi – Mashehu Tov
I love this one. This is a gorgeous father / son duet, written in part by Rotem Cohen. It’s Yishai Levi and his son, Shir Levi with “Mashehu Tov”.
Esther Rada – Halevai
Esther Rada is best known for English songs, so it’s nice to see that she’s been singing Hebrew music lately. This is Esther Rada with “Halevai”.
Dudu Aharon & Osher Cohen – 24 Sha’ot
Finally, we bring you the latest from Dudu Aharon, with help from Osher Cohen. It’s called “Esrim V’arba Sha’ot”.
