The Shalva Band Plays Caesarea
After conquering Europe’s biggest stage, and the hearts of millions, at the Eurovision last month, what’s left for The Shalva Band? Well, Wednesday night they crossed another item off their bucket list. It’s well known in Israel that if you perform at the Caesarea Amphitheater, you’ve MADE IT in the world of Israeli music. Shalva did just that on Wednesday night, performing as part of a special concert organized by Klal insurance in Israel.
It is a MAGICAL place to see a show. Shalva shared the stage that evening with Eyal Golan and Benaia Barabi, who currently own the honor of singing the #1 song in Israel according to Galgalatz radio’s latest countdown.
Omer Adam sells out Park Hayarkon in 24 hours
Caesarea may be the most magical place in Israel for a concert, but if you’ve REALLY made it big…like, Rolling Stones big? Well, when you come to Israel, you perform at Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv. And that’s exactly where Omer Adam will be on July 17th, playing the biggest show of his career. A teaser video shows Omer cutting the grass at the park to get ready.
But here’s the impressive part: tickets went on sale on Monday, June 10th – and all 50,000 tickets sold out in less than 24 hours. Wow. And by the way, last week we told you about Shlomo Artzi’s concerts this summer with tons of special guests, celebrating his 50 years in music? Yeah, they’re sold out too.
Idan Raichel celebrates Israeli Police
Idan Raichel was performing in Carmiel recently, and decided to invite a couple dozen Israeli police officers on stage to join him. Together they sang the song the whole country is obsessed with, “Shevet Achim VaAchayot”.
This isn’t the first time “Mishteret Yisrael” got together to sing the song. Around Yom Ha’atzmaut, the Israeli police recorded their own music video of “Shevet Achim VaAchayot” to show their love for the country and their devotion to the people they serve. Kol HaKavod.
