Beloved legendary Israeli singer Yehoram Gaon is considering a presidential run, Kan News reports. Gaon has agreed to go along with a campaign launched on his behalf to run for Israel’s Presidency in 2021. In order to be considered, a candidate must obtain the signatures of ten Kenesset members.
Gaon, of course, is one of the most popular Israeli singers of all time. He’s best known for hits like “Rosa”, “Shalom Lach Eretz Nehederet”, “Lo Nafsik LaShir”, and “HaMilchama HaAchrona”, among many, many others.
His vast repertoire also includes a long list of patriotic Israeli songs.
The long list of Gaon’s accolades includes winning the Israel Prize in 2004 for his contributions to Hebrew song. In honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut 2020, he re-recorded his classic “Shalom Lach Eretz Nehederet”, celebrating Israel in the midst of the pandemic.
Would you like to see Yehoram Gaon serve as President of Israel?

December 2, 2020 at 1:46 pmI would Love to see him as a president of Israel. Oh that would really be amazing. I really like president Rivlin and his contribution to Hebrew songs is very inspirational. Now imagine the next president being someone with the voice so beautiful singing the most amazing songs that define Hebrew songs. I want an autograph though : )
