In our attempt to keep you up to date with all things “Koolulam” – the viral mass-singing sensation that’s taken Israel (and even South Africa) by storm – we bring you their latest celebration of the human voice.
But this time, the “performers” were mostly college students from 60 countries around the world, all spending a year or semester in Israel. Their song selection? Well, naturally, “No Place I’d Rather Be” by Clean Bandit.
Clever, huh?
From the Masa Israel Facebook Page:
On October 22, 2018, Masa participants, alumni, Jewish Federations of North America, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and guests from around the world gathered at Masa’s Opening Event in Tel Aviv. Over 3,500 people participated in a mass singing initiative with Koolulam! It was an unforgettable night and for sure there was “No place we’d rather be”! Thank you everyone who came to share this special evening with us! #MyMasa
We haven’t seen this video widely circulated (at least not by Koolulam), and wanted to make sure that you had the chance to experience this exhilarating love-fest for Israel. After all, when Israelis and Americans join together to celebrate music, we’re excited to jump on the bandwagon.
For some behind-the-scenes footage of the evening, check out the video below courtesy of 21 See. What song would you like to see next from Koolulam?
