It’s like the “Cliif Notes” version of Israeli music in 5779.
As we approach Rosh Hashana 5780, radio stations throughout Israel have been looking back at the best Israeli music of the past 12 months. And as usual, Galit & Artur come to the rescue.
Our favorite Israeli mash-up artists, Galit Mor and Artur Katz, are back with another musical retrospective of the 32 (by our count) most popular Israeli songs of 5779. But this time, they’ve recruited some help from their friends from Lahakat HaTzva’it, the IDF Band.
And their playground? None other than the offices and studios of Galgalatz radio, located in beautiful Jaffa. They even run in to a couple of friends along the way: Benny Kvodi, morning traffic reporter, and rapper Subliminal, on the air at Galgalatz!
I’ve watched it five times already, and can’t get enough. How many songs can you identify?
Need help? My Israeli Music to the rescue!
