Imagine sitting atop Masada in the wee hours of the morning. You’re singing at the top of your lungs, as you close your eyes and allow the beautiful music to wash over you. Suddenly, you open your eyes and see the first peek of sunlight glimmering over the desert below. In a magical moment, you hold hands with someone you love while watching the sunrise and swaying to the music.
Oh, please.
Let’s face it. A sunrise concert at Masada is not particularly convenient or comfortable. The venue is out in the middle of nowhere. The nighttime desert air can be frigid. You force yourself to stay up all night. Is it really worth it?
David Broza, no stranger to the sunrise Masada concert, visited Hadar Marks at Galgalatz this morning. In the funny Hebrew song parody above, he describes the joys and “oys” of these types of shows.
Would you stay up all night to see David Broza (and the sunrise) at Masada?
