We have a winner! Eden Alena will represent Israel in Eurovision 2020, taking place this May in The Netherlands.

In tonight’s grand finale, Eden beat out fellow contestants Ella-Lee Lahav (2nd place), Or Amrami-Brockman (3rd place), and Gaya Shaki (4th place) to win the right to represent Israel on the world’s biggest stage.

Eden is no stranger to televised reality singing competitions. Two years ago, she won Israel’s version of The X Factor, but has thus far not become a household name. Perhaps now, that will all change.

So what happens now? On March 3, Eden will perform four songs in a televised event called “HaShir Haba L’Erevision” (the Next Song for the Eurovision). The public will vote on their favorite song, and the winning song will compete in the Netherlands.
