Here it is…the complete lineup for our 2018 August Chagigot!

For those new to the show, here’s what we’re talking about. For many years, we’ve devoted the month of August to special programming on Israel Hour Radio. Each week, we choose a particular topic in Israeli music, and ask our listeners to suggest songs that fit that topic.

With thanks to our listeners who have made some incredible suggestions, here’s the official schedule for 2018:

• August 5 – Chagigat Shirei Yayin V’bira: Songs about drinking, wine, beer, going to bars, getting drunk, etc. (h/t Barbara)
• August 12 – Chagigat Shirei Radio: An entire show devoted to our favorite topic…radio! (h/t David)
• August 19 – Chagigat Shirei Tel Aviv: For many years, we’ve been playing songs about Jerusalem. How about some love for Tel Aviv? (h/t David)
• August 26 – Chagigat Shirei Erevision: We’ve done this before, but with Netta’s big Eurovision win this year, it’s time to do it again. What’s your favorite song that’s competed for Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest? We’ll count down your favorites at the end of the month. (h/t Pam, Daniel and others)
