Sure, we at MyIsraeliMusic.com are big advocates for a strong, robust Israeli culture. But every so often, it’s fun to borrow from other cultures, too.

That’s why we were pretty excited to discover this fantastic YouTube playlist, featuring over 100 Israeli covers of well-known songs from around the world.

From Disney movies and showtunes, to folk classics and contemporary pop songs, you’ll find it all here – for hours and hours of listening and viewing pleasure.

Remember Bette Midler’s beautiful “From A Distance”? This Hebrew cover by Ruchama Raz is equally mesmerizing.

Ever wanted to hear “Right Hear Waiting” by Richard Marx is Hebrew? It’s on the list, covered by Yoav Yitzchak.

And Gidi Gov has recreated quite a few Jazz classics in Hebrew, including “What a Wonderful World” and “It’s a Jungle Out There”.

There’s so much more, with creative lyrics, beautiful voices, and an Israeli flair.
